battery died-now no start
i left my back left door open and the battery died. took the battery inside and put it on that charger. waited for battery to charge. reinstalled battery. tried to start the car, will not start, dash lights do no come one, head lights will not turn on but do hear a click when i turn the switch for them. horn and door dinger work. no other electronics work. tried both keys i have-still nothing. can not change gears. steering wheel does unlock. rechecked battery terminals-all ok.
any suggestions????
im thinking ignition switch?

Jump start the car or just hook up a known good battery.
It'll eliminate everything except the battery from the problem before you go wasting money chasing dragons.
How did you know you successfully charged the battery on the charger? Are you using a smart charger that let you know the charge was completed? If you are using a dumb charger you won't know if the charge is complete and/or if the battery is fried from the discharge or recharging process.
Most batteries have about 100amp-hours of charge. If your charger is a typical 1-2amp smart charger, it's going to take 50hours to properly charge it. In the instruction manuals for such chargers they'll say leave the battery for up to 72hours on it...

lol...what a mystery..from the sounds of it ....its definitely a dragon that is causing the problems. I would first start with taking out the engine and looking at it under a microscope.
Seriously now!!
1. double check that u put the terminals on right
2. get a jump start
3. drive around for a little while and if it holds a charge u should be good
4. slay the dragon

That click you hear from flipping the headlights is just a relay. I would suggest, like others, that you first try jump starting it. If that works then you need a new battery, if not then try following your ground and making sure the wire didn't come loose.

i took the battery out and started my truck with it.
checked some fuses but i literally have nothing coming on besides-door chime-steering wheel unlock-head light relay clicking.
i noticed today the red key light on the dash blinks all the time with the key out and it turns off when the key is inserted. never paid attention to this befor so i dont know if that gives anymore insight on the subject....
