please explain a little more. wires with terminals dont just come out of the plug unless they were tugged on with force or got caught in a moving belt or someone forgot it was still plugged in when removing the alternator.

so my question. is the plug damaged? are the wire terminals damaged? if not, you can push them back in.

and....YES you can get the Alternator plug seperately

Look at another 01+ GS300 or maybe someone will post a pic of their car Alt plug so you can see the color sequence. Below are teh part numbers to replace the plug and wires. You will need to cut yours and re-solder. Based on your post, I suggest having someone who knows what they are doing, do this.

Alternator Plug Part # 90980-11349

Wire Terminal Part # 82998-12440 (x3)

yes the plug is damaged, i accidentally pulled the wires out while trying to take it off the alternator. i.e... the terminal was still in the alternator and the wires were in my hand.

The soldering i'm capable of doing, i just need to get the parts and find out which color wire goes to which terminal.

The 3 wires that go into the alternator plug are red/pink/white each one with a blue stripe. Can someone here with an 01+ gs300 maybe take a pic or look and tell me me which position each wire goes.

Surely he has fixed it in three months, but the pic is now documented here for future searches anyway and may help someone else one day..
