New GS owner checking in
I've been trolling CL for a few months now and thought I'd finally make an into. Hopefully it's ok I do it here, this is really the only section I look at on CL. Which by the way is the best Lexus forum I could find. A lot of good info that's easy to find on here.
Name's Nick (if you couldn't tell), and I live in Warner Robins, Georgia. I'm currently in the Air Force, but I'm also originally from Georgia. I bought a 2000 GS300 a few months ago. It's got a good amount of miles on it, but it still drives great and the maintenance was kept up on it. I needed a decent DD to get me around since my other car is down at the moment. I like the executive/vip style, and as I've gotton older I've found myself wanting something a bit more..."grown-up". Wow, I should've bought a luxury car a long time ago. Even with the age and mileage, I was impressed with the quality of this car. I'm already planning to buy a new Lexus within the next few years.
I'm not sure how much I'll do to this car, but I'll probably do a few simple bolt-on's and take care of the worn out parts like suspension and steering wheel. So far I've just picked up some Tanabe DF's from a local guy and also borrowed my 19's off of the Skyline. Here's some before and after pics, from a point-n-shoot. Thanks

Thanks for all the warm welcomes.
Carbon- Ya, I can see that there are a lot of Ga GS owners. Hopefully I'll have a chance to meet some of y'all somethime.
Toy4life- I didn't own a civic, but I used to have a 4 door integra that I turbo'd years back. I see that you've got a Supra, I used to have one before the Skyline. I miss it!
Thanks Euro. No spacers on the back, they fit pretty good. I would like a little more on the front, but the lug studs are so short that I can't use the 8 mm spacers I have.
Smardav- Thanks, I was thinking that I might put a lip spoiler on, but I'm not sure if I want one or not. Where did you get your LED tails? I like them.
The guy I bought the DF's from cut one dead coil off of each spring. There's still 2 more dead coil's I think. I was a little worried about it at first, but it rides real nice and I like the drop a lot.
Yep, I'm a sucker for a black car lol. The car has 160k on it and I picked it up for 6k.

Welcome to CL and congrats on the GS. Maybe post some pics of both the Skyline and GS together. Like the drop and wheels on the GS too. I was thinking of doing a photoshoot at the Air museum down by the air base one day, but that's quite a haul for me. We'll see.
