Default GS400 Accessory belt tensioner replacement

Hello everyone - I am wondering if anyone has a link to a DIY for replacing my GS400 accessory belt tensioner. It has been squeaking horribly for two weeks now, and I am certain it is the tensioner. Please let me know if you have a link to a DIY or if you know how to remove the old one - I have spent an hour trying to find one - and all I have found are GS300 DIY's....

Thanks,

Vince

did anyone ever do a DIY for the GS400? I see one for the GS430, but they look a little different. I assume it is as easy as taking the 3 bolts off the tensioner assembly, removing tensioner assembly, replacing, and reinstall belt?

Should've replaced both at the same time since one part goes behind and bolts up with the alternator.

Here's a page with a surprisingly large quantity of photos, from every angle:

Looks like there's (4) bolts holding it on... the question is.. .what has to come out first, to replace it.If you have to go through the alternator, you'll have to pull the belt, pull the power steering pulley, pull the alternator, then you should have room to move things around, once you remove the (4) bolts.

Hello Vince.
witch part of your belt tensioner is squeaking?

mine was a bad pulley bearring at 207500km.
I only replaced the pulley.

Default Pulley

On my GS300 I only replaced the bearing in the pulley. I think they are the same. Do you see a part number on it?
