Crank but wouldn't start - Help!
All,
The car is a 99 GS400. The battery is new. Starter was replaced not long ago. This morning, it wouldn't start. The motor would crank. The battery feels strong. The engine just wouldn't start. Any idea is appreciated.
Thanks

Simple stuff first
Check your fuses...
Check the dash lights and make sure you have a check engine light , if no check engine light when the key is turned to on then the fuel injection system, more specifically the ECU is not powered. This may indicate a blown ECU fuse.
Check for spark then fuel pressure...
good luck.

All,
I noticed my positive terminal was a little loose so I tightened it. Then I just for good measure, I had my neighbor to jump the car for me. Same thing, it cranks but wouldn't start.

Mine did same thing. I bet its fuel pump. Take off a access panel under back seat. Turn ignition to on position. You should hear a click noise on drivers side back seat and then a humming noise. If u don't please read thread a while back from me on my diagnoses of mine. Great info and help there
