Hope the title got someone's attention. Is it normal for a 2Gs throttle to not open all the way when its not connected? Or more of a simpler question what would cause your throttle not to open when you press the gas pedal or pull the acceleration cable? I would actually have to sink the gas pedal to the floor in order for the throttle to budge just a little bit, when the pedal is pressed fuel is being sent to the engine but "throttle no open". Could it be a sensor problem?

Any help at all would be GREATLY appreciated,

I am confused. Is the cable connected or not? You went from cable not connected to pressing the gas pedal.
If the throttle cable is not connected it doesnt matter how much you press the pedal it won't do anything.

what i meant was that when i press the gas pedal its like it wouldn't open the throttle unless i sink the pedal and by that time the sensors are already sending info to the computer to add fuel to the engine. the cable is connected, i was referring to when you open the throttle by hand to rev the engine i wouldn't feel the lever in the TB make the connection to open the throttle unless i were to open it all the way.

when i said "not connected" i meant if all the sensors on the TB were disconnected.

Are the cars driving abilities affected i any way?

yeah they are. when i press the gas pedal it moves forward but its very very sluggish, goes almost nowhere. but if i sink the pedal to the floor more or less air gets in there and she moves. i shouldn't have to do that tho

I would suggest start by cleaning out the throttle body . . .
Have somebody help you out . . when you press the gas pedal does the cable on the throttle body move?

with the key out... pressing on the gas 70% does not open... the last 30% opens it up 30%..

with the key on "ON" u have full control. .

does that help?

on limp mode ull only be able to use 30%..

thats whats happening, but what would cause this problem if its happening while the car is on and the engine is running?

i did fail to mention that when i turn my head lights on the cluster display's backlight isnt coming on and neither are the rear lights. the brake lights come on perfect when the pedal is pressed but the driving lights for the rear aren't illuminating. could that be contributing?

Is your car throwing CELs? I'm very sure you car is in limp mode. If there is no CEL on the dash, get your car scanned for CELs anyway. Your bulb could be burnt out or it could have even been removed by a previous owner in the past, who knows.

have you checked your fuses??? 9 times out of 10 its just a blown fuse
