My steering wheel is really worn down. The same thing happend in my mustang and I paid 300 bucks for a oem steering wheel with just leather wrapped over it. Plus I think it would look really sweet
it sounds like a lot of work especially restitching.. I think it's cheaper to swap it out with time taken into consideration.. There are a lot of wheels going for ~$100 in the classifieds
^^ I know but i dont want another used one, i kinda want a different feel to it. I dont think it would be that hard, i have a sewing machine to make the holes and needels thread, if i mess up once oh well just try again i guess. I just have to learn fuly how to do the cross stich. A family friend is an upholsterer so i might ask him for some advice and we will see.
I want this black and grey steering wheel, black carpet, black and grey seats, grey suede headliner, and i want the woodgrain to be the black one that would look sweet.
Looking at that picture, I would imagine with the proper pattern cutout, its not very hard to do. As long as you stretch the material enough and use strong enough stitching... I wouldnt mind trying it myself if I had an extra wheel to mess with.
