This works on my car (98 GS400 with no DLR lights) and should work on cars with DLR (Canadian, US 99+). Also works with all the combinations of switching states (auto off, auto on, flash etc. etc.) Fogs stay on with HIGH or low headlights, and off as before with parking lights. Great for twisty/hilly roads and country lanes. Not much use for straight highway driving.
I also found this site where they did it to a toyota tundra.

I dont really have much, or any, experience with the fusebox in my car so i was wondering if anybody could do a quick DIY with pics. It seems simple enough but i dont want to do something wrong when i think im doing it right. Something like the Tundra DIY would be awesome.

Ummm...ok..did you try the Big STICKY with ALL DIY?? Its one of Bananas mod..

Yea I did see it. There's a reason I didn't bring it up. Why would I go through an hour long process splicing wires when there's a quick fusebox fix? Thnx for the help tho

Half Culo will get you nowhere.. the fuse box i believe will eliminate DRL, as the Banana one uses the stock relay and keeps oem function with the ability to isolate Fog light control, more classy IMHO.

Yea but I'm not nearly experienced enuf to even think of attempting bananas process that's y I wanted to try the fusebox fix so I wouldn't mess up my car

Then find a friend who knows how to install basic stereo stuff. This isn't too hard, but just becuz you don't know how, doesn't mean you should half-*** it.

banana GS DIY's are simple to do... i thought it was tough looking at it but after actually attempting it its cake.

Im not sure ill be attempting it anytime soon but maybe ill have some1 good with electronics take a look

On that Tundra thread you posted I noticed how the guy bent the relay legs to feed the coil.





The fog light switch ground wire seems to go into the Body ECU #2, which I think is located next to the drivers side fuse box. If you can find that wire, u can cut it, extend it, and feed it into one of the bent legs on the relay.

The other bent leg on the relay you connect 12V ignition power. This is so that the fog lamps can only be on when you have the key on, in case you forget to turn the fog light switch off.
