All the nuts face up so no problem with the torque wrench. (You'll see once you tear into it.)

Nice M4 by the way. You build it from parts or modify an existing rifle?
I'm partial to the M1 Garand myself. (I have 17 of them)
I DID build myself a match grade M1A for my 40th B-day.

Great looking m4 man! That's exactly how i want my future m4 to look thanks for the inspiration. Do you mind if i ask how much it cost you to build that?

As far as the installation goes, you will be pretty surprised how easy it is once you get in there. Basically start from the calipers and work your way towards the bolt holding in the LCA. I've done this install several times before if you need any extra help feel free to pm me.

Well it actually looks a bit diff now (again lol).. Its a Norinco M4, now has a Magpul CTR, Magpul pistol grip, UTG rail, Fab Defense T-pod, LAR pistol mags, Vortex strike fire red dot sight. This was a budget build with the whole thing only costing me $1140. In Canada thaqt's pretty good as we get raped on guns here. Love M1 but the ammo costs are the main reason I don't buy one. Here are some others:

Riddle me this, what makes the m4 so much different than the ar15 in that you used the term "M4" instead of "AR15" to classify your gun?

Barrel length. Ar15 barrel is 16", this is 14.5". The ar15 has a 1-7 rate of twist and this has a 1-9. Other than that pretty much same.

THe AR-15 is the civilian version of the M-16 that was originally issued in the mid 60's. His M4 is the civilian version of the rifle currently issued to troops.

My barrel length is barrel length is 14.5 as well so can i call my ar15 a M4 as well? No.

If your gun is indeed a True M4 it would have a 3 rnd burst(or auto), 14.5" barrel, and the lower is literally stamped "Colt M4" and chambered in 5.56 whereas an AR-style weapon, well, it is any gun that is modeled after Eugene Stoner's AR-15 design.

sorry for being off topic lol... im just nit picky on some wording n what not.

Well all the arms dealers call it an M4, including people importing them. No offense but i am sure the dealers who invest millions of dollars into firearms know what these should be called.
http://www.badgerarmssupply.com/index.php?page=norinco
http://www.theammosource.com/index.p...roducts_id=401
http://www.frontierfirearms.ca/index...roducts_id=155
and so on...

Its not made by Colt, so its an M4rgery. But that's like saying every 1911 pistol is not a true 1911 because "Colt Model 1911" is not stamped on it. The burst switch is there but disabled due to Canadian gun laws.

Take dealers words with a grain of salt.. just like car dealers n what not...

Per Canadian (and coincidentally, American) law, a burst switch cannot be "disabled," You either have a notched hammer, burst cam clutch/spring, auto-carrier, burst disconnector, automatic sear, and three-position selector switch, or you do not. Judging from your picture they are not visible? (unless you do have it then i humbly take back what i said with an apology that i doubted you)

I've got plenty of 14.5" AR-Pattern rifles with 1/7 twist barrels, but I don't own a single "M4" .. Just 'cause you drive a Toyota Camry doesn't mean you drive a Lexus ES.

anyways my apologize Pizdets17 for going off topic. If needed we can continue in the Firearms thread in the Clubhouse lol
