also is there a DIY manual conversion? ... heard there one in FL that did it but anyone else have any other information that will help.... my other plan was to also do the conversion while doing the swap or to rebuilt the NA.... i just like to know whats the best and easy to use computer.... haltech ? or ect

I noticed your your question about the driveshaft wasn't answered, with the GTE VVTI swap you keep your factory drive shaft. what you change is the yoke on the back of the transmission either from a 1G gs or a 95 LS400

My question is if you use the aristo 4 speed, did you guys switch out the 5 speed shifter assembly?

i dont think they switch it out... unless you can find it in japan.. or if u buy teh complete clip.... but i did read one time that they used the OEM but you have to leave it in d4, on non electronic manual features...correct me if im wrong...
