so let me ask you guys something? anyway to force these blown hood struts to "blow" more or to leak more? they work and do their job but they still are providing a little to much support on the hood causing a little stress crack which i will get fixed (and probably paint the hood black) but it also makes the edges of the hood stick up a little and i dont like it considering without the stock struts this hood was flush as could be.....

i'd say leave them out in the hot sun on hot asphalt which will also go cold overnight. The heat cycling I think will probably age it the fastest.

Maybe if you want to speed things along, oven at a low temp (but careful, contents under pressure it may blow).

That's my best guess

the sun thing i dont even know if that would work.... but it would take to long.

the oven isnt a option im willing to attempt due to the pressure

atleast its a different thought/idea. anyone else?

I just replaced my OE struts on a 2001 GS300 after getting bopped on the head a couple of times. Let me know if anyone still wants the blown ones (though they are not completely dead). No charge--but you get to pay for shipping.

because the hood weighs less, so the hood strut has to much pressure, which is causing a stress crack, but a blown shock might be to weak for a heavy hood but still have enough left in it to hold up a carbon one with out stressing it

So mine just went out again....

Anyone have any problems with:

Amazon Strong Arm Amazon Strong Arm
or Mighty Lift from Autozone?

Mighty Lift Amazon is 23.99 for a pack of 2.
Amazon Strongarm is 16.44 + free shipping (EACH)

Not tryna pay 100+ for OEM shocks.
