Exclamation Cut NF210 springs???

Im thinking of cutting my Tanabe NF210 springs. 2 1/2 coils in the front and 2 in the rear. I dont know if I should do it or not cause the spring rate is not as stiff as the DF210. Should I do it while I save up for coilovers or just leave it as is? I hate driving at this height, I love being slammed too much. Any guidance would be great.

If you cut them that much, you might be sitting on the bump stops (shocks almost fully compressed). If you were to cut them, I think 1 coil will be enough. One revolution of a coil spring is probably has a 1 inch thickness. So cutting it an inch will lower the car 1 inch over the specified amount of lowering.

1 inch all around doesnt sound bad at all. That might take the tires gap away. Should I cut 1 coil off the top or bottom of the springs?

The top! If you cut the bottom, the spring won't fit correctly on the shock seat.

Not only that, you probably can't sell them now. Unmodified you probably could have gotten $150 for them at least. Now, once you get your new suspension, you might as well just chuck those cut springs into the trash can because it will take a seriously desperate guy to buy those springs for any price. Lesson learned I guess.

You're bouncing now because your springs are now too stiff for the shocks to handle. It's really underdamped.
