Hey guys,

This is my 2001 GS430 silver with black interior, navigation and all those good stuff. These pics were taken when I just bought it last year (early February). I will try to post some progress pics as soon as I get a chance. I did some minor mods thus far... The first thing that went was the sunroof cap and then those chrome rims around the lights...lol

I have never seen a GS with those chrome things on the tails. Not sure it I like it or not. But it definitely caught my eye.

I'd remove those chrome trims around the head/tailights, makes it look cheap IMO, but if you like it then don't mind me

wait so those are 'before' pics? Too much plastic chrome in all the wrong places. Grill looks weird. Sunroof deflector looks OK on a SUV not a GS. BTW, your wipers are in 'winter mode'

Thanks for all the welcomes again guys... @ Alex, yes these are before pics (perhaps you didnt get my drift with progress) slowly but surely I will be getting there man... You know how that goes I'm sure... Car is going to the shop soon for a complete paint job... Perhaps a kit (veilside)... Let me see how that goes. So far I switched out headlights for some angel eyes, clear sidemarkers with led bulbs, added mirror covers with led signal lihts, replaced rear tail-lights with full set of led tail-lights, installed magnaflow mufflers and 3 1/2" tips (4" coming soon), I put on some tanabe df210's with some kyb gr2 stuts (it's a nice enough drop for me) and replaced my inner control arms (both sets)... sorry can't do coilovers (NOT DESIGNED FOR NY/NJ/CT roads, I don't care what anyone says, they are lying to you and only say the car rides nice becuase of how much money they paid for the coilovers lol --j/k). I cleaned up the engine a bit and did a complete job with all original parts (timing belt, water pump, pulleys, serpantine belt, vsv valves etc) and the only thing that I added was a K&N filter with a short ram intake, but I don't have any pic updates with that as of yet. I changed out my charcoal canister as well and to be honest, it didn't even need to be changed! It was actually the vsv valve behind the engine. But I am glad that I got that out of the way.

To be honest with you all, my car drives great and with all the money that I've spent so far on her I think it was definately worth it... Just a paint job and some minor upgrades again and I am done...

When I bought my last GS (totalled it on NJ Tpke) the guy had them to put on and never did. But to be honest, I aint really feeling the covers. I am going to take them off. The $150 that ebay has them going for is so not worth it. I love the angel eyes tho man, I mean they give off a BMW look a bit at night but who cares? I like it lol... Where in NY you at?
