so my first tank of gas in the gs, ended up ending at 240 miles...i do feel a misfire at idle, the rpms dip about 50-100 and thats about it, im hoping that this is the issue for the low mileage. either way i will be cleaning the maf and throttle body this weekend and hopefully installing a few new parts.

what do you think this misfire can be??? spark plugs im hoping. so will be checking those, and doing a compression test.

There's too many things that it could be to diagnose over the internet.

Check your TB, MAF, spark plugs, plug wires, and maybe the TPS.

Also, try some injector cleaner. I use Lucas every 3K miles. I've gotten 340 at best with my GS3.

I filled a full tank from Costco. got 288miles out of it..(that's what my Info said)
Filled it from shell and got 326miles(that's what my Info said)...
and depending on how I drive.
I get anywhere from 16mpg-19mpg..
Do you fill 87 or 91?

i just hit 360+ mpgs from a full-up of Mobil 89...and I still have a good 20-odd miles to go til I'd even think to fill up

i drive majority city as well...about 15miles to/from work

For reference I get around 300 at the 1/4 line. That's usually about where I fill up to, so I averaged last fillup 22.5mpg.

lol...may be. but when you sit in an Acura, it still feels like a really nice Accord. Same went for Infiniti until the 2010 range with it being very Nissan like.

personally, in no way does a Lexus feel or remind me of a Toyota when I'm inside or driving it. USDM speaking of course...in Japan-land, it's probably a different story

Dang how do you guys such crazy mileage? a have the 6 cyl and do 50 mi round trip to work which is 90% highway and I get about 320 per tank and avg. about 22.

My math must be pretty bad. the people sayig they average 22 mpg but get 320 miles to empty.. Wouldn't that be about 17 mpg? Our tank is 18.5 right?

i just filled up at about 16.43 gallons cost me about $49.00

i got 240 miles to the tank before then. so ill see what i get this tank. but def going to figure out what this misfire is cause its killing my gas!! or are the 8cylinders that bad at gas mileage
cause with the gallons i put in the car and how many miles i got this past tank im getting
240/16=15 miles a gallon!!!!

and i drive a gs400
