So i will be installing a normal size 7-Band Equalizer (Dimensions: 7" W x 1" H x 4" D) and obviously the best place to mount it would be where the ashtray is located, but i really and truly don't not want to give-up my ashtray and cigarette lighter. I need some where that is reachable.

Was thinking to put it in the armrest but don't know if it would take-up a lot of space. I am sure someone have this dilemma before... please post some pictures of your mounted EQ even if it is located under the ashtray maybe i will eventually give in and put it there if it looks good

my friend's Lex has it in that location. Don't have any pics though. It would be better there cuz it kinda heats up and needs some room to breathe after an hour or two. I'm putting it in the same location.

Glovebox is the cleanest. You don't always need to adjust it so it doesn't have to be visible all the time.

I say in the glovebox as well my friend had his Clarion Eq in there and it was easy enough to reach. As far a mounting it where the cd changer is you would need to make a faceplate to clean it up, or another idea is to mount it underneath where the changer is and screw it up.
