I DO NOT recommend this kind. There is a spring that makes the key pop out and only 1 screw to hold the whole thing together. It causes a gap where the key flips out. It works, but just not perfect. ALSO, the transponder is too far away from the chip by the ignition so I have to collapse the key so the transponder is closer to the ignition for it to start.

Also it cost like 13 dollars at my local Lexus dealership to cut the key. Good luck.
Some of the keys on ebay of this flip style, but have longer key lengths, so that's why it won't work with our GS, b/c the distance between the remote on the key and the reader in the ignition is too far. I had my uncle cut it to proper length by measuring the OEM key size, then had the key cut. And on top of that, metro lexus doesn't know how to cut a key, so they messed it up. Eventually, I got it fixed.

If you read my post above, I have described the same problem with this type of key that I have. Also, the switch button can be easily deployed so that it springs in your pocket. Pretty funny the first few times it happened.

I had mine for over 2yrs now and it's been working perfectly and the length does not effect anything when I started my car. I dropped my key at least 5 times and still perform like the first day

nope, i haven't had any problems at all
the new key blade is 5mm longer than the OEM key, but it isn't so long that it puts the transponder out of range from the ignition chip
i really couldn't be happier with how it turned out
