It could have been molded into the body but I guess that they didn't want to do the work...If they hid the roll cage in the already existing structure And actually put a cross beam on the top of windshield and finish up the unmentionables it should be pretty straight and this flat black thing wouldn't work on this design anyway. I'm thinking that they would also have to run tubing underneath the vehicle also.

good luck molding that cage into the body...they effectively recreated a unibody structure with tubing throughout the car.

what is a cross beam going to do at the top of the windshield?? The car would fold in toward the middle, like console area...the windshield is freestanding.

the flat black isnt bad...the problem with running the stuff under the car is that there's no real subframes to tie into.

Let's just leave it at please leave the GS's roof alone the way the engineers designed it

It call a phantom top.had that on my el camino and regal back in 80's in my lowriding days
