Default Gas Odor Smell - Need Help Identifying Part

My 98 GS400 all of the sudden has a really strong gas odor. Smell is strong in my garage and very strong while driving. I removed my engine cover and was able to find a part that was leaking (overflowing) with gas right when I turned the car off. After a few minutes the gas evaporated. Here are a few pics. The first one shows the part close up and the other two give a better idea of where the part is located under the engine cover.

Does anybody know what this part is and what it does? The part is made by Denso and the numbers read 0382 23270-50010 on the top....I don't think this is the Lexus part number though?

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Great thanks. I found the one on the other side and it has a screw in the middle with a little o-ring. The one on the passenger side in my pictures is missing this screw and o-ring and the gas is basically just flowing out through the hole. Do you think I can simply find a new screw and o-ring to replace the missing set and all will be well?

OK, why not? I don't know much about how these pulsation dampers work. Thanks.

Hello,
I have the same issue with my 1991 LS400 on the driver side of the engine compartment. It was very easy to remove. I need help finding the correct part online.

Thank you,

Michael

I located a Fuel Damper Assembly at Napa for $45 (echlin fuel systems) and on Amazon Auto for $56 (Borg Warner 32501). Anyone have any experience with these parts?

What brand is the naps? Both warner is a better brand. I would push for oem if it is only a tad bit more.
