Default Ngk iridium ix spark plugs

I have a 98 Gs300 with 150k, and I just install those plugs in my car. Then I realized when I removed the plugs, the plugs were Denso with dual tips on there. I had a single tip.

I installed them anyways and I did notice a slight power loss, or It could just be in my head.

My question is..
Do you think it'll affect the perfromance/gas milage greatly ?

The iridiums should be single head iirc. The dual heads I think are platinum.

There have been some good reviews on the Torque Masters. I'm debating between those and the NGK Iridiums as well.

Nissan also uses NGK spark plugs for OEM. NGK and Denso are very comparable and similar. I am running NGK Irridiums in my GS4, with no worries!

Ok cool. I replaced all the plugs. My next step is to replace the valve cover gasket. When I pulled the plugs out, they were all saturated with oil. Is that because the valve cover is leaking ?

Im guessing it should affect gas milage because all that saturated oil on the plugs affect the spark.

Can you PM the part number for the plugs you used? Sparkplugs.com has so many different ones to pick from.

Thanks

You should have done the valve cover first and then put the new plugs in... It sounds like it is leaking from the way you describe it.

I'm having the same valve-cover leaking problem. Grab new grommets and gaskets from Lexus and rebuild 'er, swap plugs when you're done.

It's the spark plug gasket that's leaking. But either way you have to replace the valve cover gasket when you pull off the cover.
