Default Tilt Steering Acting Up in Texas Cold Weather

OK...I'm fairly new to this board and I've searched this subject with no success.

When its 40 degrees or colder...my steering won't tilt down. When its warmer outside...she works like a charm. There's no binding or grinding noise which would make me suspect the worm and worm wheel that controls the vertical movement. I'm clueless and stupified on this one Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

And BTW...the vehicle is experiencing no other electrical issues.

Be blessed,

Adrian

Perhaps the switch. Try warming up the switch and see what happens. Like with a hairdryer or something. That would at least eliminate that. Of course you can also use a test light to see if the switch is getting juice and passing it on to the motor.
