Cars are much cheaper in the US so the Aussie pricing seems out of whack for us yanks
All 2001-02 GS are post-facelift with no real changes on the model years. GS are relatively problem-free with maintenance records. Things to look for
1) timing belt replaced every 90-100k miles
2) front ball joints every 70-80k miles

Well...
I promised myself never to buy a black car again and what happens? I put a deposit down on the 2001 black/tan GS300
It's a 2 owner car with full Lexus service history from new till 2009, original paint (few scuff marks and what not... all superficial), hasn't reached timing belt service (will be soon but not yet) and no strange noises. Pending finance approval I'll be joining you guys hopefully within the week
Now I'm gonna have an Onyx Black GS300 and Onyx Black Soarer 2.5GT in the garage
