Default rear window tint issue

is anyone have any bubbles in their rear window? My installer just did my job and mentioned that it would be very hard with this lexus (00 gs300) as all the gs's don't do well with tint on the rear window due to defroster.

He also mentioned maximas as a problem rear window. I have about 3-4 bubbles on the defroster lines. I tried smoothing them out from day 3 to day 6 after the install..but they won't go away..

I tint, sometimes older cars have a lot of crud buildup on those defroster lines. a lil ammonia and some ultra fine steel wool followed up by a good microfiber cloth and the lines should not be an issue. then again there should not be any bubbles to begin with like everyone else said.

I don't know guys. All of the tints I have seen around here, regardless of where they were done or on what car they are, seem to have small bubbles on the defroster lines.

I have had my tint for a while and it is very clean no bubbles...I suggest a better tint shop. I paid over three bills but came with a lifetime warranty so even if it does bubble it's covered.try a better shop.

As long as you don't use the rear defroster until the tint cures and sets, you should not have any bubbles.

in my old acura legend that happened, but luckily it was a small piece and one of those patch kits sold in pep boys did the trick. be very gentle when going over the lines, some of us had these tints prob years already.

Your installer doesn't know what he is talking about. I just had tints put in and there was no problems. Where did you get your tints installed? Did you turn on your rear defroster when the tint was settling in? PM me for details on my tint installer. I can have my installer just do your rear window tint if needed, for cheap. The tint on my car is perfect, no bubbles whatsoever.

i had my rear tinted twice. Both times no bubles. First time they used metalic tint and my navi stopped working. Removed it, put on carbon tint, still no bubles. Oh year, pushing 6 years now. My old car, 93 Ford Probe, had a massive rear window, also one peice, no bubles. You installer needs to get kicked in the sack.
