Cool Installed the V-LEDS.com 18W High Power Back-Up License plate frame on my GS300!PICS!

As most of you know I have a pretty cool LED/HID setup in my 00 GS300. I revisited the V-LEDS.com website a few weeks ago and noticed they now offer the 18W High Power License Plate Frame for increased visibility in reverse.

Here is a link to check it out (they have some cool videos)
http://www.v-leds.com/Exterior-LED/L...-p7516915.html

Having extremely dark tint, I had already installed high power factory replacement LED's. But after reading about the license plate frame, I figured I would still benefit from extra visibility at night.

I chose the Black chrome option to match my Platinum Edition badges, and it matches perfectly.

Here are some photos of the frame installed on my GS300.

Lights off (1 layer of tint on the Taillights)

Lights on, In Reverse

High Power Factory Replacement LED bulbs.

High Power Reverse Frame on

Looking at it from the back

In Reverse

I had to remove the trunk lid cover and left side trunk covers to access everything for the install. I prefered to run the wire through one of the two license plate screw holes so I didnt have a wire running to the trunk bezel. But you can run it from the frame to the bezel if you prefer an easier install.

I ran the wire down the trunk bar, around the quarter panel and into the taillight wiring harness. Once you access the left side wiring harness all you have to do is attach the positive to red/blue and negative to white/black.

Let me know if you have any questions, I figured you guys would like to see this, alot of us are running dark tint with expensive wheels and it would be rather unfortunate to damage a wheel because of poor visibility at night.

Thanks for checking it out

-Jackson

Nice! I have 5% tint and going in reverse is like Russian Roulette. I have to use my side mirrors see what's behind me. How about a picture from inside the car?

Damn, that's awesome. I wonder if that would affect the rear view camera on the IS350.
