is it a weak start? check the battery terminals? maybe alternator is bad and not charging the battery properly? need more information, whats it do when you try to start it. how long does it stay running?

Yeah.. sounds like the alternator... Car can't run just on battery alone unless its brand new.. Even with that, It wouldn't last long. Car has to run above 14v

Yes, the car can run on the battery alone.

The ECU needs at least 10 volts to run the fuel injection with a low amp draw.
14 volts is the output the alternator has when the battery falls below 12.7 volts.
Typical alternator output on a 12.7 battery is around 13.4 volts.

I would be looking at the MAF sensor or intake tube.

Good Luck

Thanks for the help guys. The intake tube came off? I don't know how but it was off. I didn't see it untill I walked over to Autozone got a can of starter fluid. About to see if the fuel pump was bad and saw the intake tubing hanging. Reconnected it and started her up and everything was fine. That still Pi$$ed me off though because I wasted 2 hours. Oh well better than spending X amount of money to find and fix her. Thanks for the help!
