I'm running 3GS wheels with 15mm spacers in front and 20mm in the rear. I will probably be trading for 25mm spacers in the rear soon. So far, I don't rub under normal driving conditions. I only rub when I encounter big dips on the freeway and steeply inclined driveways. I think the rear can go 5mm wider without rubbing. But I am on 245/40/18 tires which is the recommended OE tire size. Any reason you are going with 245/45/18 instead? At that size, the sidewall may be too tall and the tire too big.
