You had the LS wheels widened by a shop? Is that an option for wheels? Cuz I've got 18x7.5's that I would pay a pretty penny to have modified to be 18x9.5... just didn't know that was possible

Thanks man, I'm waiting on the quote from HKS. They were sent out last week for inspection/rebuild.

Yeah, they cut the wheels in half and weld in a barrel depending on how wide/narrow you want them to be. There are a few places that do it. The guys kept asking, "Are you sure these are gonna fit?" I like it because they look stockish from the sides but from the rear you see the 295's.

It's cool. I already know what wheels I'm going to get. Just waiting on the funds & the right time or deal to come along. I got the wheels in a trade for my labor. I then sold another set I had to pay for the widening. I have had these wheels on my silver 98 GS300, my white 02 SC430, & now the 98 GS400 in silver, gunmetal, & black finishes.

As far as the TRD stuff, eBay, eBay, & eBay.

Looks great! The only thing I'm not really feelin' is the wheels. Also, you have a '98 GS4 so you have (had) e-shift but then you changed your steering wheel. So you gave up this feature for the look of a different steering wheel?

The TRD wheel does not come with cruise either. I already added the cruise back in and I'm still going to hook up something to get the e-shift back. I got the IS paddle shifters working but it was a pain trying to mount them. I have only used the e-shift once or twice anyway. I will probably hook up two small push buttons on the back side of the wheel. One on each side for up & down. The wheel itself is almost an inch smaller in diameter and I love the steering feel. I would not go back just for e-shift.
