Curt hitch is the only prefabbed hitch available. I noticed that it's a class 1 hitch, does anyone have problems with using it with a yakima bike rack? I was looking up bike racks via web and I noticed yakima recommends atleast a class 2.
nope none here. I had a Swagman XT but it was WAY TOO HEAVY DUTY for me. Nothing against the swagman but when your rack weighs more than the bike.. we got issues. lol
Also look into Kuat Alpha and Beta's. The beta holds two bikes and only weighs 11lbs. It also has a built in hitch tightener in the base. I think the Alpha's hold 3. Both come in 1 1/4" and 2" flavors.
When you guys installed the rack on the roof, how did it do with that chrome trim? Does the clip attaches to it? It looks very flimsy and I don't want to brake it. I need some kind of rack for the skies.
lookie at what i just bought.
still not complete yet. Still need to buy the fairing, but ill see how bad wind noise is first
BTW: i know the front tower isnt bolted on yet. i didnt install the clips yet
You put the clip over the chrome trim. Is it solid enough?
