im done wit the front and now i need help removing the rear strut can some1

I take out the lower bolt (the one with the camber adjustment on it). It's the lower left nut in the picture.

so just take that out and the strut should slide out

and the bolt that goes through the shock.
i always loosen up the end link bolt and rear calipers and it should come out. I don't like to take the eccentric bolt out b/c of alignment.

Take out the eccentric bolt and sway bar link. Then that whole arm will drop down. If you're going to be modifying the suspension then you will need to get an alignment anyway. So taking out the eccentric bolt isn't a big deal anyway. If you really want to, you can use white out to mark off the position of the bolt so you can reassemble it at the same mark. But keep in mind, if you change suspension or change the height, the car will need an alignment afterwards otherwise you will kill your tires in very short order.

yea, me and my buddy took off the lower bolt that connects to the spindle. also the swaybar endlink.
after that, the arm will just drop off and you're good to go

grab a marker pen to mark the location setting of the camber bolt (located at the spindle side, in the lower control arm)

unbolt the end link, unbolt the lower strut bolt, unbolt the 2 small 10mm bolts that hold the upper top hat to the body of the car, then loosen the 2 bolts inside the trunk that hold the upper top hat in place. the whole strut assembly w/ spring should pretty much pop right off.

do everything in reverse, and if ur car isnt on a hoist or jack stand already, it should be. to reposition everything u may need a floor jack just to lift the spindle a bit to get it back in place.

They are shocks. You just free the shocks out by loosening the bolts from top and bottom and take it out.

My GS with the midwest salt and freeze/thaw, I'm afraid my eccentric bolt is frozen and the only way out is by breaking it...my front passenger side has been replaced, now the rear.

my eccentric bolt is a real PITA to get out and back in hey. puts me off fiddling with the suspension cause its such a pain! but ill be doing mine again soon when i get new springs for my coilovers :P

they are all right but just spend the 10 bucks for the tierod remover much easier. to just pop that and pull it out. save yourself some time and headaches get the right tool for the job!
