You can either purchase an oem one or Kragen/O'Reilly offers one that is real close. It's their own brand but the 3m doesn't stick too well, so you wanna get an extra roll of the thin 3m...

Get the thinner 3m tape though if you are going to double it up. If you get the thicker stuff it'll puff out 1-2mm past the body of the car. If yours is 10+ years old there's no point in trying to clean it just replace it. $20 max for the materials you need. The old one just peels right off.

the funny thing is the dealer is the same 3m one you can get from some autoparts stores. I'm not talking about the cheap cheap stuff. If you get the 3m stuff, its that same but the dealer is precut. At our bodyshop, we ordered it from the paint supply store and cut to fit.

i keep meaning to replace mine but would prefer to go OEM and where i live theres only 1 dealer so its pretty expensive.
in the meantime i tried some Meguirs metal polish stuff, i cant remember the name of it now but it is in a round black metal tin & the polish itself is pink. just put a bit on a rag and rubbed it in, didnt take very long. My side door ones are still fully chromed, just the front and rear bumpers that just look flat grey. After using the polish, i reckon they've come up about 80-90% as good as new so i'm happy with that. just have to redo it after a few weeks though as they oxidise over again
