littlebird, that is incredible! I'm about to crack 95k on my 02 GS300 and I'm glad to see this car has that sort of longevity. Amazing! Great job of taking care of your car getting it to run that long. I'm impressed!

if you take care of it, it'll last haha

they definitely have longevity, that's for sure. my issue is i want to see how high i can get my mileage before the engine dies, but at the same time, i'm planning on swapping in the 2jzgte
and i'm torn between the two, because i want to do the swap soon after i get her painted and after i redo my interior.

which to do which to do

Mine is at ~180k now, I bought it in 2002 with around 42k on it if memory serves...

Honestly, the best car I have ever owned, I had the original owner's records and the car has had 2 repairs in its 16 year history.

1) A/C Compressor in 2004 (went rebuilt as my local shop had a real good rebuilder-that compressor is still going strong today)

2) ABS brake booster in 2011ish (went with a used unit from a low mileage GS300 and saved a bunch over new)

Aside from light bulbs, brake pads and tires, that is all.

Never had a dash light issue, nor running issue. Mine also has never had a steering wheel vibes issue or headlight condensation, nor door lock actuator issue as yet. Car is all stock, Timing belt was done at 116k, still looked ok, had the water pump replaced at that time but was still working fine. I've had 4 transmission flushes. Car runs as new, and looks mint too, but I was a Pro Detailer so I will take some credit for that along with Lexus

Love a lot of new cars, but I'm working on semi-retirement and i wouldn't love the car payment, so I'll drive it into the ground, but I think I'll be in the ground before the car gets there!

I have gotten my money's worth + with my GS400...
