2 days ago someone posted a message about paying $1,200 for 4 Michelins at NTB. He believed, as I do, that he overpaid.
ClubLexus had a problem -- and his message and my reply got deleted. So, since there are only 30 days before the option goes away, I figured I post the info so maybe he can save some $$.
NTB has a price matching policy. They will beat any competitor's price by 10%(?) within 30 days of your purchase.
What you need to do is get a lower price in writing from any local or Internet site selling the same tire (I suggest the Tire Rack web site www.tirerack.com) and bring it to the shop that sold the tires. If you present a price from Tire Rack expect NTB to add the shipping charge you would have paid to Tire Rack before they calculate the difference, but you will get back what you overpaid PLUS a few bucks.

Thanks Marty!
I read your post reply and went to NTB($220 per tire) with a copy of the Tire Rack price($194). They gave me the difference you said they would which ended up $10 less per tire. The hidden cost comes from the $140 labor + $20 per tire protection plan and of course... taxes. Thanks for the tip Marty!!

$140 for labor?? $35/tire to mount and balance? $20/tire protection?
Sounds like a lot to me, but I've never bought a tire bigger than 17". Could be those numbers sound right to some others on the forum but still seems out of line from my experience.
Anyhow, at least you got something back. Glad I could help a little.
