Question Rough Idle

I have a 99 GS with 150,000. Just recently it began to idle roughly and would stall here and there, but it runs smooth on the highway. Check Engine Light came on and VSC/VSC OFF lite. Codes were reading a bad O2 sensor and multilple misfires and variable valve timing. I got the O2 sensor replaced and found that my valve gasket cover was leaking oil into the spark plug area. So went ahead and replaced valve cover, new spark plugs and wires, throttle body cleaning and fuel injector cleaning. The car has more power and runs smooth on the highway But it still seems to Idle pretty rough when coming to stops. Any Ideas what this could be???

Throttle body needs to be cleaned. Maf sensor cleaned or replaced. Try those and see what happens.

Did you replace both valve cover gaskets?
Check for air leaks and or vacuum lines that are disconnected.
You may want to clean the MAF sensor with the proper cleaner.

is this a GS300 or400?

good luck...

Have you checked your oil levels? If you were leaking oil and the oil got low you could trigger a vvti code as it is driven by oil pressure.
