Platinum VS Sports Edition Lexus GS300. Which is better and why?
Which one costs more?
Which one do you prefer?
Are there any physical differences?
Any info on this will be appreciated. I am looking to purchase a 2001+ Lexus GS300 (Im not sure if they have a sports edition for 2001-2002)
Thanks

If you search, there is a thread on this topic (with a poll I believe). From what I recall, most people chose the Sportdesign.
To the best of my knowledge:
The sportdesign was only available in 02 & 03. And, the 03 had some additional features that the 02 didn't have (smoked headlights and fogs, different badges on fenders, rear lip spoiler, platinum interior trim by radio/bezels). All sportdesigns had perforated leather seats, logo scuff plates, and logo floormats.
The Sportdesign was also available in the exterior colors: White, Black, Graphite & Silver/Champaigne (only 02). It was only available in interior colors: Grey (only 02), Black, and Saddle (brown). Saddle is the rarest and most sought after. Black is the most common. Graphite was only available on Sportdesign GS's....not any other GS3, 4, or 430.

This says it all! Plat. only in 2K...but seriously though, just find one you like and get it, be it Plat/Sport or not. What you do to it will make it better than it is, not a classification badge...IMO

unless he comes across a black or graphite on saddle SD, then, in that case, I would have to say I'd choose that over just about anything else, mods or no mods.
