So if anyone has ever wondered how much work goes into repainting an engine bay. Behold....

Also, I'm grinding down all of the seam sealers and smoothing them out. Once the engine bay is painted, it will be one very seamless continuous flowing piece.

Some people gripe about the cost of body work at a good body shop. If they have ever tried it themselves then they would not complain about what it costs. It is truly a insane amount of work to get a GOOD paint job. I'm just demonstrating to everyone here what it takes to lay down a quality paint job.

Prep work is about 85% of the entire job, the actual painting is the easy part compared to everything else. I have some friends come over to help and we are on day 2 of prepping the car for paint lol.

to get a great paint job is a lot of work so what you are paying really isn't that much. Props for doing the work yourself and great pics. Body work is such a huge pitathats why I never mind paying more for someone that does a great job.
