hello CL, i am a fairly new memeber and would like to ask for some advice.

i drive a 98 GS4 and currently riding on 20x8.5 ENKEI KAPONE wheels with 245/35 tires.

here is my issue... i really want to run a staggered fitment for more agressvice stance/style. i will be lowering the car on TEIN SS in the near future.

i am currently broke and cant afford expensive wheels. but i can afford these at the moment: TSW KYALMAI (2) 20x10 20MM (2) 20x10 35MM

i want to be able to keep my currently tires and stretch them abit onto the 10inch wideth.

here is my main question... The wheels have the same size/wideth but the offset is different. Should i go ahead and get these ? will the lower offset allow me to go with a wider stance in the rear and make it look like they are staggered? ( thats my initial goal ) and also, how will the 10inch wideth with 35mm offset fit in the front? i realllllly dont want to pull/roll/cut my fenders right now b/c i cant do it myself and dont know if i can afford a professional job.

forget a 20x10 in the front on SS without fender mods man. Look up shanec's car, hes running 19x10 or 10.5 in the FRONT, even though he's on air he's still had to make a stupid amount of modification (let's not even talk about the 19x12 on the rear). You'd be better off going 20x8.5 or 20x9 in the front with about a 245, then 20x10 with a 275 in the rear. as far as offsets, I think both could work, i know for a fact +35 will work, not positive if +20 will clear too easily, but maybe with a stretch it could.

Look for a conservative set of used wheels on the boards that will fit with no problems for now ..


dont buy something you can only afford and have to make it work ... thats pointless ... might as well go crazy and get the ones you really want

I think you can get some used wheels on this board that is cheaper or the same price than those wheels. Just my 2 cents. buy from the CL guys because most of us are wheel *****. LOL.

thanks guys for some advice so far.

im getting these wheels for a really good deal. im paying about $400 for the set. but i cant afford new tires so im going to keep the ones i have now.

i know 10inch in the front is really wide... but maybe the 35mm offset will save me??? does anyone know this for sure?

for the rear, i see alot of folks with 10inch or wider with lower offsets than 20mm. and they look nice

i can picture my car with these wheels and the 35mm in for the front and 20mm in rear. i think the stance will be niceeee.... but im afraid that they wont fit. alotta CL memebers here have really agressive stances but they dont speak much of the pain and headache that comes along with such a stance.

with the USED wheels here on CL... i've beeen looking for a long time and all i see are really expensive wheels. i really cant afford over $1000 for wheels and then plus tires... i know imma get fired on for this... yes i know... i gotta PAY to PLAY! lol

I know ther is a 19x10 -25 that was just completed recently but I dunno how it rides but I hear for turning it will turn both ways fine ..

it will look like a 4x4 esp if not lowered ... I say save up for suspension first then get wheels IMO unless you have both at once ...

When you pay 400 ... gotta get some rims that don't look like you paid 400 ... sometimes rolling on stocks until you get enough. is enough


I always can tell who got the "Les swab" specials .. always see same style wheels and tire pattern ... Month to date special ... Iono thats just my thought process but from the signature I like what i build

You are already on 20s. Skip the temp solution (TSW). They will NOT fit without work and you said you are not willing to do that. Save the $ towards your plan for the SS. THEN, when you have enough $, get a decent set of wheels that look and fit the way you want.

save your money for what you'd really like to get and do it right
dont waste your time with $400 wheels; they'll prob break on you being that cheap.
