I have full coverage too!
You can call and find out what they will or will not cover, but if you don't like the outcome, you don't have to file a claim. You have insurance, use it, if they want to total it, drop the claim... just my .02

I'm debating if I should call them up or not. I'm just afraid after they see the car they won't insure me anymore due to the mods or any insurance company for that matter(if they enter that info in the national insurance database or something), even if I tell them I will fix the car myself after he inspects the damage. I don't think you can tell the inspector to just forget everything he saw on the car and pretend everything is peachy afterwards.

You will allway's be able to get insurance, your car is not the only modded car they have . You can make a claim and if it is not completed on your end within 30 day's, the claim is dropped.. period (they might call u back, but if you still haven't made up your mind they will end the claim). It doesn't hurt to call another insurance company out of the blue and ask them these questions yourself, this way you feel more secure. I actually did this with an older car (not a fire though), and nothing was ever on record. Either way, good luck

Damn man.!!! Glad you got it under control.

Friend of mine called and told me about it. Sent me the pics you posted. I had to check here because I thought it was yours. Unfortunately, I was right.!!

claim insurance. your car is an 05, they won't total it and if they want to you can just tell them no. you'll end up with extra $$$. you tell them you're not sure where you're getting it fixed and you want the check written to you.

anyway you can pull the turbo and mock up a stock intake/air filter assembly?

That sucks man when I got your message this morning I was like what the hell. Damn man looks like time for some repairs. Was this when you were tuning the wg? Also as I recall didnt you have a slight oil line leak around the turbo? Hopefully you can get that worked out. Ill be back in town in about two weeks prob stop by and give you a hand if you need it. Time for some legit body work hahaha.

Nope this wasn't from a oil leak. I fixed all of those a long time ago. My car hasn't leaked a drop of oil since about 2 months ago.

Sorry to hear about your car man, I guess what it comes down to is how much you really want to keep your current car.
