Hello,

I've searched and I am not sure if anyone has done this. I am looking to buy a set of LED Tail Lamps and swap the lens from my 03 GS300. I want the LED Look but with the amber/orange signal piece.

Has anyone done this? Any success? If so, what brand LED tail lamp would be best candidate for the lens swap?

I havent seen it done, but Ive been dying to do this ever since the led tails were released....do it! do it!

You need to make sure that the clear and the amber are about the same width. I have been contemplating doing the opposite. Swapping the clear lens onto a stock tail light.

I was looking to see if someone could take some measurements of the smaller clear led tail lights to see if they are about the same size as the stock amber. If anyone has the small clear led tail lights could you please measure the clear section for me.

I've been thinking of this for a while, but we need some measurements of existing LED Tail Lamps... preferably the white lens section so I can confirm with my OEM.

Any volunteers?

Looks like the ones from K2motor (Sonar) LED lamps have a huge reflector piece compared to OEM.

You need the small clear led tails.

While looking at the JP LED Tails, it looks very similar to Sonar Tails.


After observing the lamp, can someone measure from the bottom of the tail lamp to the end of the white piece of the LED tail?

Looks like about 2" from the bottom up.

yeah i saw those on ebay... but for this one..



It might look a bit weird when the those clear lens on the OEM lamp. We need those diffuser lines... otherwise it would look weird with the OE bulb setup. Vise versa too... those round style LED's in OEM lens... might look a bit odd.

I hope we can find something that fits well.
