Default Master Cylinder

It seems like I have to do the expensive master cylinder replacement soon. I am getting the random BUZZZZ and Christmas lighting on the dash when it happens... I did a lot of searching and everything is pointing to replacement. Has anybody done this before? Anybody with any experience with replacements? I'm pretty mechanical and hopefully can do this myself. It looks like the abs/booster/cylinder is all one unit, is this correct?

I found a post saying that some toyota models use the same booster/cylinder part. The cheapest I can find online is about $1000. Its pretty pricey. I also found out the part is pretty hard to get, even at the dealers.

Anybody find it kinda iffy to install a used master cylinder/booster/abs?? It might be the way to go. I have a feeling finding a lexus at a junk yard will be hard.
