Nobody to my knowledge is running or has a transbrake on the stock auto trans so that is out of the question...A nice set of drag radials (they even make 19s I think now) is your ticket into the 12s without having to change anything else.

Are you still running a stock sized stall? Sounds like its coming online hard right after the 60ft on all of those videos except one. Maybe you just weren't sitting on the stall long enough.

But for sure with just drag radials I can see that thing in the 12s with ease.

How much you think your car weighs? Stock these things are what...3900?

His trans isnt stock and his next upgrade might come with a trans brake =O. Hes running 3400 ish stall dont quote me on that. But his turbo is small I blame that also. Pulls hard low end but loses steam on the top end so spooling isnt much of an issue. Jeff get your t51 ready =D.

With no other changes, I bet a pair of 18's with a bit more sidewall and proper air pressure would break you in the 12's.

and leave the system!

That stall should be perfect for a small turbo. How is he gonna do a transbrake? Put a TH400 in it? With the goals he wants for his car I don't think he would be happy with a TH400 in it. I figured his trans wasn't stock, its probably a stock built auto. That turbo doesn't look horribly small either, its gotta be at least a 60mm.. which well I guess in today's standards that's small lol. Glad to see he is upgrading though!

Yeah, it's the built stock trans with 3400 stall. I'm deciding either to go a TH400 route or v160 conversion. I'm probably be aiming to have around 900-1000hp or so when I'm done. Not sure if I'm still going to daily drive the car at that point. Decisions decisions....lol

2.2 is not bad at all for street tires. Drag radials and more practice and you'll get 2.0's which will get you into the mid 12s on a good pass and lower with more boost

sounds like your wheels were spinning almost all the way down. I think that better traction and you'll be in the 12s.
