LOL..I followed you measurement's and it came out funky.
What I plan to do:
make that adapter.
build a box without the bottom sealed. Attached that adapter and screw everything on. Then seal the bottom (using screws).
If things sound good...I wouldn't make the box for it (I have to make sure I set the amp to filter right so that'll make it sound okay without a box).

centre console is what i did,i removed the rear seats and entire centre console,and then used a socket extension piece to feed the wires under the carpet with them taped to it,can't tell they're there,and straight to the EQ in the dash

Yep...once you get one wire going... (or use a thin dummy wire)... then reuse that wire to get the others going. Tape it to the first wire that went through...repeat. That should cut wiring time.

Back to topic. The drawing you made...were these measurements from the final perfect fit? It would have been great if you used metric...inches are difficult to measure.

have you heard it yet how does it sound i am interested in the past with free air subs did not have the response i was looking for also that would worry me that big of a sub flexing
the rear deck over time with the woofer throwing back and forth i don't know your brave i hope it works great for you though it looks like you put alot of time to do it that nicely even painted the baffle nice touch

ahhh so this was the one you were telling me about on the phone nigel....cool...
i hadnt really thought bout this, was gonna have my install shop do it...but we'll c depending on what they want to do it...it will come out much cleaner they do this...plus i was thinking bout cutting the actual metal to widen the hole...no mdf under it...we'll see. im starting my audio build so we'll c!

any idea if there is a mounting bracket for the 1st gen?????? or has any one tried this mod for the 1st gen. my subwoofer opening is 11" would a 12" sub mount up with this setup?????t thanks

awesome post, bought gs300 recently and did research saw this followed it and bam....just like that i a 12 kicker in there looking all stock n ****** .....very nice man!!!
