Default Bad Altenator/Corroded Battery Terminals

I have a 1999 GS400 and I noticed my battery indicator light turning on and off while I was driving from a friends house. I decided to change the battery yesterday because it has been at least three years since I've even looked at the battery. After installing the new battery, the battery indicator light was still flashing periodically. Today the battery went completely dead in the middle of the road after about 20 minutes of driving. I thought it may have been a loose battery terminal so I tried to tighten them up a little and still no power. The tow truck guy said he thought it was a worn out altenator and had nothing to do with the battery terminals. I know a remanufactured altenator can cost about $200 but how much $$ will labor normally be at an independent shop???

Book time for labor is about 2 hours. Expect to pay around $150 for labor at $75/hr
