Definitely going to have to do this. I do mainly suburban driving and normally only average 18 mpg, which isn't bad, but it isn't as good as I'd like to see. I track my mileage too, religiously, so I'll be interested to see what kind of returns I get.

The bar itself was fine. I originally decided to keep the engine cover on with the stb but later removed it and that seemed to be the problem.

Before this was done I had no issues with idling but car feels even more smoother now with better response when I press on the gas. Well worth it IMO

Glad the issue was as simple as the engine cover being removed. So my question is, how did the ECU know that the cover was off? LOL

Maybe the engine was being pressed down by the stb? Interesting subject.

I go wide open throttle past the high school that I went to in the 330Ci. Most of the kids and teachers know who I am. I just graduated last year. For the ones that don't, they can ask the others who do know me.

I was always the kid with the cool cars in high school... out of the 4800 students that went there.

Yeah, I definitely noticed all of that. It was pretty easy too, the hardest part was rushing to beat a pop up thunderstorm. I had to close the hood and book it to the garage because it started to pour while I was reattaching the battery cables.

But it was well worth it.

Actually had nothing to do with the ECU. It was me trying to keep my engine cover on when I installed my stb. I didn't change any O-ring.

Well i just cleaned my MAF and went ahead and cleaned my throttle body too. But noticed that when i pulled the acceleration mechanism(where cable is hooked to) all the way(WOT), the butterfly inside doesnt open fully all the way...is this normal? Is there a sensor that knows when you stomp on the gas to open the butterfly WOT?
