Thank gus. I used this to remove those annoying lights on my vsc and cel. I cannot say how much better the dash looks. Still runs fine but those three were killing me. Cl rules. Also took the opportunity to clean it while it was out.

bringing back from the dead, trying to recalibrate my speedo, its off by 15mph.

took it apart 3 times already =P hopefully i can get it to within 5mph.

Man, that sucks! I am sorry. But believe me, before I did this write up, it had been in and out so many times it wasn't even funny. The best way I found was to get the gauge in your car, driving around, once your idling at a light, the speedometer should be at 0. After the first couple times, I just left the cover off until I established my needles were dead on. Hope this helps.

Wow.. This thread is an oldie, coming up on 2 years. Anyways, everything works fine, you just have to be aware that you can put the needles slightly off. Once your aware of that you will get a better idea of how to re-assembled it. I did it at the dealership and my home with some cheap stuff.

I wish they came from factory with a white backlighting and same with the stereo and AC panels too. White looks sooooo much better than green.

Where are the CCFL solder points?

My CCFL lights are flickering when I tighten down the mount screws. This is leading me to think the solder is cracked or there is a weak link someplace. The lights work well if the cluster is not mounted.

That wouldn't necessary make it a solder issue if it works when not mounted. Sounds more like a wiring problem somewhere. To properly remove the CCFL you would need to remove the back cover and take off each of the 16 metal clips that hold the gauge motors on. Then take off the front cover and release the gauges first. This will ensure that the needles do not get removed which would require a calibration.
