Good catch Bossgs4! I just glanced and saw lexus gs!. The best thing to do to be sure is to email the support at PAC they are really fast in responding. Or give them a call. Does the GS430 with steering wheel remote have pioneer or nak?

I can look into this more...

I installed a Alpine W200 onto a Toyota Solara. So far everything works great!

All GS430 have the steering wheel control, but some have Pioneer Premium System, and others have the Nak system ...

I don't think so since this unit is just there to enable steering wheel controls on the new HU, I don't think it matters what stereo was in there before ... but correct me if I'm wrong please ...

There are TWO types of steering control buttons in the GS430 that I know of. One is for full HU control and the other (which I am cursed with) controls the HU and the Factory cellphone option.

For the HU/Cell unit HU buttons control the SOURCE and UP/DOWN for CD Tracks or Radio Stations.

Raising this from the dead to get some updated info...

A lot has changed, just wondering which is the better interface to go with on this? PAC Audio or Metra AXXESS?

I have a 2002 w/ Mark Levinson but will be replacing the audio with Sony GS Series MEXGS610BT and aftermarket amp/speakers.

Yeah I have this working beautifully on my '98 GS300 with the PAC SWI-PS. This mod is mainly for those who don't have audio controls, pretty much non GS430 owners.

It's interesting though that Metra does show the 01-05 GS430 on there now.

Yes - and I emailed Metra's support, who confirmed it would work for it. Though he initially said I needed the ASWC-1, not the ASWC-TOY-LEX. He corrected himself after I called him on it, so I'm not really sure that he knew any better than what I read on their site.

I can only imagine that if it is listed specifically, that someone has made it work. However, it's a $50 gamble I was hoping to improve my odds on, with some personal feedback here.
