Well here in NY we now are starting to get snow, but I have been having some concerns. I have Blizzacks on all four corners and it has helped greatly, but this car still HATES snow!! I know it's rear wheel drive, but I wanted to hear from some of you guys on here. How's your GS in the snow?

2 things just in case 100lb of Rock salt and Cardboard boxes lol...They saved my azz a couple times in my GS4, the weight in the trunk helps u grip and the cardboard helps u get out if u get stuck...I loved that car (still miss her actually) but I was scared 2 death 2 drive her in the snow...

^^^ I HEARD THAT!!! Sometimes it feels like it wants to go sideways. And the "snow" option doesn't do anything!

Mine does real well. I do have winter tires and will throw in a few 75lbs plates if it gets too bad out. Its the ice that the car really sucks at but most do in that situation.

stock mine was fine in the snow with good tires i had to take mine out yesterday with my wheels on it to get it inspected i was getting stuck on flat ground at every stop light

u need snow tires, then it should be ok

I tried driving it last winter without snows and it was getting stuck everywhere. This year with snow tires and some weight in the trunk its been just fine in the snow.

The snow mode makes a world of a difference..
If you aren't in snow mode...don't even bother giving gas after hte light turns green..

I have m & s Tires..
but If I'm not in snow mode..and I try to launch at a light..the car will just sway sideways...even on flat ground with light weight on the pedal..SLIPS A LOT!!

The GS is covered and parked up..and I use a fwd (07 altima) for the winter unless the weather is decent (like today)

It's more about how you drive the car than how the car will perform in the snow. I've driven my car in the snow and no real issues to speak of. Can't drive it now with snow on the ground unless I raise her up about 2 inches

I live in Upstate NY and we got nailed yesterday with 10 inches. I put 150 lbs of sand in the trunk with the snow tires. I feel decently confident driving. I take the VSC off sometimes to enjoy a nice powerslide ever so often. I've gotten used to it after a year or two of rear wheel.

It is Horrible if the road is not plowed and you are running all season tires. If you have to drive on an incline, lets say a Highway on ramp, good luck..I speak from experience with nightmare situations in years past. That is why I have suv's now.

What's snow mode? I live in So Cal but plan to take it up to the mountain to go snow boarding. Hmmm, now wondering how safe that is after reading the problems you guys have. Is it this car you guys are talking about or rear wheel drive cars all together? The car is stock and has M&S tires.

RWD cars and snow are not a good mix but an above average driver should be able to manage fairly easily. You really just have to change your driving habit to fit the environment. The only really issue is getting out of a spot where you've been sitting on top of snow for awhile (but like someone above said, rock salt and cardboard can be your best friend).

instead of cardboard, I use my older dirtier carpet. the rubber on the bottom helps
