So far I have only talked about the fronts. Anyone know about the rears? The parts list shows it being similar only that the CV shaft holds the hub on.
Anyone wanna speak up that has real experience doing this?

The rear is the same type deal. Still need a press. I havent done the rears are on my car yet, but will be doing all four soon. Remove the snap ring and then use the press...

Did you guys hear about the the idiot who tried to use a shotgun to remove his lugnuts? Needless to say, there was a trip to the emergency room.

I thought you where joking. Maybe the security lugnot broke. I had this happen to me and I was like OMFG what am I going to do now??? I was like well I guess I could weld an extention onto the broke lugnut. Eventully I figured out to hammer a socket about the same size onto the end of it.. worked pretty good on the other three as well.. BP

I agree with your thinking but, it is way off base. Unfortunately the bearing is pressed into the assembly that hooks up to the upper A-arm assembly. It is not just a HUB. If this is still a topic Monday I will show on the parts list that it is an assembly not a bolt in hub with a pressed in bearing like the pic that was posted above. I wish that we had a bolt in assembly like FORD and Chevy uses but, we don't we drive Toyota's thank god.
I will post a pic just for the sake of posting a pic. later not on this PC This was when I did my ball-joints. so it is somewhat relevant.
I have a tundra as well and it is the same design.

I have replaced 2 wheel bearings in my LS.
Strangely enough they can be found cheaper on the Internet than even an Autozone will sell them for.
To worry about the brand bearing you use is ludicrous. First off Och is not the first to notice that dirty little secret. With modern mfg techniques there is not a dimes worth of difference between any of them.
