Default are 18's too small for gs300/400?

im a new owner of a 2000 gs400 and im looking for an upgrade in wheels.I was on memoryfab.com and came across some work emitz 18x9 +26 18x10 +26 and fell in love with them.I just wanna get some input from fellow gs owners on 18in rims on our cars. The only suspension mods on my car right now is the tanabe df210's springs....any help/info will be greatly appreciated

pictures will also help,so if you can post some up of 18's,that would help out alot.

I think 18's with low profile tires do look a tad small on the GS. If it's stock or OEM 18's with standard-type tires then that's perfectly fine functionalty-wise. But in terms of sheer looks I feel that 19's and 20's look best on the GS. If I were you I'd wait until I came across some 19's (at least) that I liked, otherwise you might buy these and be unhappy with the look of the car afterwards. Hope this helps.

yeah, might as well get chrome 26" spinners since bigger is better....NOT.

I think 18"s is the best performance wise, but 19" is just right in terms of looks. But that's just my opinion, who cares what others say as long as you like them. I would also consider about unsprung weight.

I would normally say 19s, but there are some 18s out there that looks awesome with the GS. My friend has 18" Volks GT-7 wheels on his black GS4 and it looks better than if the rims were 19s.

i have 18" and 20", both are three-piece, and the 18's definitely look small. the 20" look just right at times, and even slightly large at times. when i bought my 18" back in 01', i spotted the car a quarter mile away and got smacked with buyer's remorse immediately.

of course, i still keep them because the tires are cheaper and more comfortable for long long drives

I think 18" inch wheels look just fine. As long as your car is dropped nicely and has a good stance, you can pull it off.

Some pix of my Blitz Technospeed Z1 Gold on my GS. BTW those rims are up for sale as well

18s are what is recommended by Lexus L-tuned and at the time, what the M5, E55 had...

On my 2nd GS, with more 18s...

Great compromise, IMO.

18"s are just fine you just have to get the right size tires and a nice drop.
