Default Got a new toy and also some pix of the ride

Got a new toy 2JZ-GTE head...woohoo!
Now I just need to find a built bottom end to bolt it onto heh.

Yes that's in the kitchen, I didn't want to scratch up the wood floor and the garage was too hot(Texas summers) lol. Pictures below of me taking apart the head and getting it prepped for the shop for a deep cleaning. They submerge the whole head into a machine with a big tank of very heavy duty solvent. It will clean off all the sludge and the motor should be shiny as new when it's done. This particular head is pretty nasty and sludged up. It seems as if the people over in Japan don't change their oil lol.

Pictures below of my car before the next "big" step up/makeover. Engine pix as of today. It's a bit dirty, havent washed it in about 2 weeks lol.

Sweet! Is the head only going in for cleaning, or do you plan on port and polishing it as well?

It's going in for everything lol.
-Hardcore cleaning
-Port n Polish
-Resurface/smooth out deck
-Stainless Steel Racing Valves
-Dual Valvesprings & Titanium Retainers
-Replace all seals
-Might get valve covers chromed as well

I'm getting some new cams eventually, but not now since I can't find any aftermarket cams with VVTi support. Once I find a set of good cams, I plan to raise the redline up to around 8000rpm or so

Also, anyone here ever have a run in with a Porsche Cayman S? I thought they were a bit faster than what I experienced today on the highway. I didn't expect to be able to pull away from one so easily
