DMH Electric Cutout Installed on a GS300. Very loud! Video included!
Ok, I finally got around to getting my cutout installed and wired up. The concept is simple: electronically controlled butterfly valve in the exhaust system. When it's closed, all the exhaust flows through the resonators and mufflers. When it's open, the exhaust basically dumps right out the downpipe. When the downpipe is open, the ground literally rumbles all around and in the cabin as well.
I'll try to get some videos compiled of open/closed runs either today or tomorrow...check back soon! It's hard for the microphone to pick up the difference in volume simply because the difference is too big. When the cutout is open, the microphone basically maxes out and sounds distorted in the video.
Sounds good JEff... The speaker or recorded exhaust note does sound a little distorted but i'm sure it sounds like a beast in person.. I love hearing that turbo...
