Default My GS Then to Now

So, I was motivated when a friend of mine did their post of how her car looked when she first got it and it told me, "Hrmmm, nobody on this team, or anyone for that fact, knows what my car looked like when I first got it!" Well dag-nab-it if you ain't gonna know now! This is more of a record keeping thread for me but any questions, comments, or concerns are always welcome. Thanks, I and I hope that you enjoy. BTW I know I am nowhere near the level of some of the members on here but I wanted to post anyways, their guidance, leadership, and suggestions have led to each and everyone of my decisions. Thanks CL.

Here she is now

"Layla"

With the new Shoes from Vossen

Old Wheels from EXE

So off to the progression! Lets see how she got to where she is today

Here it is the day we brought her home! Before 10 miles off the lot I already stopped at Oasis Window Tinting and tinted her 35% on the sides and 20% in the rear. That's right. I didn't own the car for more than 15 minutes and it was already modded! Bought her in March of 2004.

Other Angles

The interior was switched out to black swapping out the door panels, carpet, seats, and dash.

Then came the body kit. Revolution Win Styled Front and Rear Bumpers with VIS Side Skirts.

We also added a VIS OEM Style Spoiler w/LED Brake Light

Then came the Tenzo R Burnt Tip Exhausts and 18" Chrome American Racing Casinos wrapped in Falken Tires

I painted my stock calipers black for the time being.

A JDM Tyte Pose for you all.

Unhappy with the stock brakes I then upgraded to Black Supra TT TRD Big Brake Calipers up front with SP-Slotted and Drilled Rotors - Thanks Eric C.

Then I went under the hood. Here it is stock!

Added a SRT HCI Intake System with Racing ECU upgrade and Heatshield - Thanks Moe!

Then we modded the headlights with Advanced Automotive Concepts Style CCFL DDE Halos - Thanks Justin!

Then I added Global Premier 9000K H.I.D.'s Yes, my car was a non H.I.D. equipped Lexus.

Then came the Custom Carbon Fiber Grille

Then I got Carbon Fiber Door Pillars - Can't really tell in this picture but they are there, I promise! We even got them to make little Lexus L's for me.

I then got my sound system in place. Alpine CDA-9835 Head Unit, a 1000watt Power Acoustic Amp, 1.0 Farad Capacitor and a 12" Kicker L7 Subwoofer

Then came the Toyota Aristo Window Visors

Got my neons under the car. They were laying around in the garage from the leftover parts of my previous car.

I went back under the hood to do some more work. This time with the help of Spectre Performance. They gave me a polished intake system. I got a 1st Gen Strut bar, got that polished. I got my intake manifold polished, and I got polished radiator hoses. It dressed up the engine bay quite nicely.

I changed the trunk up a bit by building an amplifier rack and false wall. We are working on making the NOS functional. I got a great deal on the kit. - Thanks Corey!

I added a custom shift boot. I call it the $30 Manual Transmission! lol

Time for a change. Changed up the front bumper a little to include my IS Foglamps. ELITE got sponsored by Dunlop Tires so it was time for new wheels too!

The boys at Butler mounted on my new EXE Konvex 20x9 and 20x10 wheels with a 4.5" rear lip!.

A new VIS Carbon Fiber and Vented Hood awaiting my return when I got home!

That went on and the bumper was finished as well. I love the way it looks with the IS Foglamps.

Then we lowered the car on KYB Shocks and Eibach Pro Kit Springs.

That's me in the mechanics clothes!

Here it is dropped at DUB

Then we found that there were rubbing issues with a full load on the car so I went in and shaved my rear fenders! No more rubs under normal load. I've since gone back and cut out the lower sections as well.

Had the opportunity to change my brakes to red ones with a friend. - Thanks Dan. We had them painted red, shaved down, and added a TRD decal instead.

Just installed my Toyomoto Headers and put back on my SRT Intake - Thanks Shin for the install, JPI for the great deal, and Bing for the unforgetable scrubs moments!

Here is how she sat with the Eibach Pro Kit and KYB Shocks

Thanks for looking,
-Tony (CarbonGS)
